Inspired by his mother’s courage to fight and win her battle with ovarian cancer, The Patrick Dempsey Center for Cancer Hope & Healing was unveiled as the actor himself looked on. The center, part of the Central Maine Medical Center, will open March 31.
Located in Dempsey’s hometown, Lewiston, Maine, he provided a seed-grant to fund the center and his sister Mary, an employee of the parent medical center will run the cancer facility. Dempsey will also play a critical part in an education campaign for the center.
Eric Dane is one of the beautiful, hot “McSteamy” stars of Grey’s Anatomy and recently just battled with skin cancer. His malignant skin cancer was noticed above his lip and treated. With a reaction to treatment and the loss of weight, Eric is back on the health track.
